Zonies!

Dreamstime Stock Image by Sabri Deniz Kizil

Zonie | ˈzōn-ē |: noun.

1. A talented image creator who uses only "Z-Best" in fine art printing.

2. A term of endearment used to describe our customers.  When you're loyal to us, we try to return the favor with occasional special offers, T-shirts, periodic space in our Melbourne gallery/showroom and other benefits.

In a nutshell, dubbing you a "Zonie" is our way of saying "Thanks" for supporting us!

We here at Chromazone Ink thank God every day for our health, families and good friends, we are truly blessed, and we realize it.  We "Zonies" want to give back in ways that we can.  While simply writing checks to charities is not always an option, there are ways we CAN help others in need, through volunteering and just getting the word out to others who are able to write those desperately needed checks!  It's also important to realize that lots of little checks end up making a big difference too, so please explore these opportunities to enrich your own life by changing the world for someone else!

The Carpenter's Project

We were introduced to The Carpenter's Project when one of our artist customers, Pastor Louis Schulz, began bringing us his magnificent drawings to reproduce. As it turns out, Louis's amazing pencil drawings are often part of his "Art for Charity" program dedicated to helping street children and finding a cure for AIDs.

The Carpenter's Project is an independent Baptist ministry that facilitates church planting and church growth in unevangelized countries. The project provides temporary personal support to non-Western missionaries, building materials for places of worship, and sponsors special evangelistic programs.

How great it is to acquire artwork knowing that your purchase is helping change lives around the globe!

Promise in Brevard

Our long-time favorite organization, dedicated toward providing a housing choice for family members with special needs is "Promise in Brevard."  Chromazone Ink is assisting in setting up the fine art center that will include workshops and a retail art gallery!  We are very excited and honored to be part of this achievement!  Please watch this video to learn about the "Promise in Brevard" dream that is very close to becoming reality!   You can donate here.

Compassion International

We don't have kids of our own, but we have Gasana!  It's kind of amazing to learn that a fraction of what we spend eating out or getting coffee each month can literally change the life of someone in an underpriviledged country.  We're always a little skeptical of big global charitable organizations when we hear the CEOs are pocketing hundreds of thousands per year, so we checked out "Compassion International" pretty thoroughly before we committed to sponsoring a child with them.  Compassion rated pretty high in the rankings of "good" charites, so we invite you to consider also sponsoring a child through them.  We started sponsoring Gasana when he was 9 years old.  We get letters from him through a translator, and can write back to him online, so its pretty convenient.

Bill Farina

Bill "Chemo-Sabe" Farina Leukemia Fund

If you've lived in Brevard County for a while, chances are you've been to some kind of party or event where you've enjoyed Bill Farina's Creative Catering!  Or maybe you even visited their restaurant "Old Fisherman's Wharf" that began their cooking legacy years ago.  Bill and his family are the legendary go-to caterers for the finest events in Brevard County, and if you've ever tasted their food, you'll understand why!  We fell in love with Bill, Cathy & Donna when they catered dad's 80th birthday party, then our own wedding.  We were shocked and saddened to hear that recently, Bill has been diagnosed with Leukemia and is unable to work while he is being treated in Orlando.  As any self-employed person knows, health care is not always an option, so we want to join the community in helping Bill kick this illness.   Please consider a gift of your healthy blood by donating at your local blood bank.  Thank you!

June 2016 Update: Bill continues to improve! He had a bone marrow transplant about 4 months ago.  His donor was his son - how cool is that, they gave each other life!  Bill and Cathy have taken down the GoFundMe site that was established in their honor but if you still want to help them out, contact us (321-312-4800) for their address.  They had to sell their house and are now living in a friends house in Satellite Beach.  They are also selling the catering business if you know of anyone who needs some great equipment!

The Michael-Gene Kids Basketball Foundation

When we moved in to our former Hwy 192 location beside Creative Cakes, we met Dawn & Mike Futch, our next-door business neighbors.  We soon learned that Mike & Dawn suffered the most tragic loss anyone could - the death of a child.  Their 19-year old son was killed in a car accident.  Dawn, Mike & daughter Stephanie turned their unimaginable grief into a tool that now helps countless youngsters in Brevard County in numerous ways, that you can read about here.  They are able to fund these gifts by holding different annual events like "Black Ties" and golf tournaments.  It's certainly understandable if you cannot help financially, so consider becoming an organ donor & make a difference that way!
