Why Us

The Chromazone Difference

Copyright Information

Chromazone Ink honors The United States Copyright Act of 1976, section 102, which extends protection to pictorial, graphic and sculptural works. This means that no one, not even us, may legally reproduce images in any manner whatsoever without permission from the Artist or Photographer. If you have a photograph that you would like us to reproduce, we will need to have permission from the original artist or photographer. It's the law.

How Chromazone Ink Protects You:

With the lightning speed at which technological advances are constantly being made, no one can guarantee that your images will not be stolen from the Internet. Chromazone Ink, however, does employ the latest practices in image security which will significantly decrease the chances of your images being lifted from our website:

  • We "Watermark" all artist's images and display only low resolution images that are not suitable for high quality printing, should anyone be able to bypass our security.
  • Our software does not allow "right-clicking" to save off images making it impossible for anyone to snatch images by doing this well known technique. You would be amazed at some of the big online art selling sites where you can easily do so.
  • For artists & photographers with which we have business agreements, we place the sticker shown on the lower right of this page, on the back of each peice as a deterrent for any customers who may not be aware of copyright laws.

How You Should Protect Yourself:

We will do our part to protect your images, but it is imperative that you exercise caution and diligence with your images as well. Did you know that when you post an image on many photo viewing or social media sites that the image becomes their property?

If you are thinking of putting your work on any of the big global online galleries, go there and test their security to see if you can right-click and save an image. If you can, then others can do the same to yours, so you might want to think twice about using them. (Now delete that image you just saved off and don't even think about using it!)  If a site is not based in the U.S., consider that copyright laws differ in different parts of the world and what is safe here may be "fair game" in another part of the world.

Finally, while a completed piece of artwork does have implied copyright protection, it is always best to officially copyright your works through the US Library of Congress. This US Government Circular explains how to do so.

At Chromazone Ink, every aspect of our business is professional. From our staff to our equipment, we have invested in the best. We specialize in exceptional digital imaging and precise visual reproduction, and that doesn't happen by chance...

Brian Abrahamson, Owner and CEO of Chromazone Ink has been a professional phtographer since before DIGITAL photography was even in existence.  Most of his young life was spent working in and managing photographic color labs.  He was in the first (and only) certification class Epson ever had when giclée printing was emerging.  Brian has been in the canvas printing business since the beginning, and many canvas manufacturers look to him for their product testing.  Brian's awards include Addys for architectural photography on magazine covers. Brian and his wife, Angela, call central Florida home, but are often asked to speak & do demonstrations around the country at various trade shows and entrepreneurial seminars in their respective areas of expertise in the visual arts industry (Angela is heavily involved in fine art marketing / business operations).

They have also served on various community Boards of Directors, advisory committees and have co-taught art marketing courses to emerging artists.  Image superiority is their main priority, and with their discerning eyes and technical know-how, Brian and Angela know how to achieve it. Other staff also include a collection of consultants who are constantly researching areas where we can keep improving and who keep us current on the needs and trends of the general public.

Located in sunny Melbourne, Florida, Chromazone Ink has the capability to ship all over the country any time of the year. Melbourne is in Brevard County which hosts Kennedy Space Center, Port Canaveral's cruise ship terminals and abundant sightseeing and shopping.

We're one-hour east of Orlando, and with 72 miles along the coast of the Atlantic, there are countless photo opportunities and things to do! If you decide to vacation in Central Florida, be sure to stop in our Melbourne showroom where we will be happy to help you preserve those vacation memories for generations to come!
